Along the Nooksack

We had a cloudy day this week, the first in about a month.  It even sprinkled a little - much needed since we haven't had any rain to speak of in three months.  The Nooksack river starts at Mt Baker and splits into three forks, I believe this is the north fork, which is about 15 miles south of the border.  The main species of fish in this river are Salmon and Steelhead, with some trout and whitefish.  This is one of my favorite spots in Whatcom County for the eagle sightings in winter and wild blackberries in late summer.
