Traffic Jam - Venice style.  I painted this from a photo taken by friend and world traveler Pam Slevin.  I was so take with it that I asked her if I could use it.  Venice is one of those magical places, and on my list as one of the 10 ten places to visit.

Hovander Homestead

I don't know if I've seen white cows before but there were a few at this working farm in Ferndale, Wa.

Along the Nooksack River

I headed inland from the coast, along the Mt. Baker scenic view and stopped in Demming to paint along the Nooksack River, north fork.  It was a warm 81f but painting next to the water, with a nice cool breeze made the day!  And all the fresh water I could need for my watercolors!

Three Amigos in La Conner

I painted with the Salish Sea Painters today in La Conner.  This boatyard was about a 1/2 mile outside of town, along the Swinomish Slough and next to native land.  It was a spectacular day in the Pacific Northwest.  #UpperleftUSA  Available

A walk in the Park

SOLD! Painted at Tennant Lake park in Ferndale, Washington, about 10 minutes from the Canadian border.  A beautiful park that has a stunning view of Mount Baker, especially from the look out tower.  As I was painting a mother and her daughter crossed the bridge and I decided to put them in the painting.

Alaska Bound!

I painted down at the Marina this week, among the commercial fishing boats.  This one, "Memento" was Alaska bound, like many of the fishing boats here, they are on their way next week.
