Floral Splash!

I grabbed a bunch of flowers yesterday and tried to do a painting today that was loose and expressive.  Hoping I got near the mark!  Watercolor on Arches Paper, 14x20.

Fleet Week!

It was Fleet Week in San Diego so there were quite a few big ships in the harbor.  This was at the B St Pier.  I caught it when the sun was setting and the marine layer was coming in.
9 x 12, available.

Adobe! Adobe!

I painted at Balboa Park this weekend with the San Diego Watercolor Society.  I never painted in this part of the park, there are a few old adobe buildings - this one is the Balboa Park Club building, they have puppet shows here.
10 x 14, on arches. Available.

I got a block of Saunders watercolor paper yesterday,  picked up a bunch of daisies and this is my first experiment with the paper.  I think I like it.

The Queen of Balboa Park - The Arboretum

I painted at the Park on Labor Day, it was a beautiful morning and I was able to finish up just before the buskers and crowds got into full swing.  There is so much to paint there, I look forward to doing a series in the near future.
Watercolor, 14x20

Little Red Trolley

The little red trolley of San Diego - this is a painting of the trolley at the Santa Fe station, downtown San Diego.  The train station itself is just beautiful, and it's just wonderful how the sun bounces off the buildings.  The big bay is just two blocks to the right.
14x20, Arches Paper

Morning Along the Cliffs

Painted along the Sunset Cliffs this morning with the San Diego Plein Air Painters.   What a beautiful morning to paint next to the Pacific.  The sun started to break out just as I was finishing up.
