Why I March
Day 46 of 90. Daily Art.
Why I march. This was my view during the Women's March in Seattle in January as I took a an alternate street down to the city center. Why I March is a book of photographs from all over the world of the women who marched on January 21st, 2017, given to me by my sister-in-law. This scene could be added to that collection. Inspiring and important. Important because my voice counts, our voices together count a lot. And it matters that I am grieving again, like after Sandyhook, after Columbine, after Charleston. Too many to name. We are grieving and marching and weeping and screaming.
My voice matters. More. Than. Guns.
