These roses, in real life, are gorgeous: the color, the shapes - and they love to pose for a painting! My objective with this painting was to go bold. It was done in three steps, I spent more time thinking about these shapes and the lights/darks than painting them. And I spent a lot of time squinting to see the values, only 2 minutes on the last few marks (layer).
Permanent orange, quin rose, quin gold, pthalo green, ultra blue, cobalt, hansa yellow light
