Rainy day in Seattle over the holiday. A small study that I wrestled with - I don't think I won, but I didn't quit, so there's that! Why do I say that? Because I wanted fewer hard edges, a cleaner wash on the street, and a fresher, more direct approach. So -in order to make this a worthwhile exercise I always ask myself - what did I learn about doing this rainy urban scene? Clean washes are key. Lay it down and don't mess with it. With that done, 50-75% of the painting is done for you.
