Hiking Heights

 

I did a trail hike on a sunny morning into the San Jacinto mountains, which is the mountain range on the west side of Palm Springs, its the wall that goes straight up 'behind' the town.  The trails are fairly challenging, many vertical switchbacks but the view from the top makes it worth it.  

We are getting slammed now for a couple of days with cold rain, a lot of wind and snow in the hills.
