Country Road

This is a scene from Lummi Nation, a Native American tribe of the Coast Salish group located in western Washington.  They are the third largest tribe in Washington State with over 5000 members on 13,000 acres of tidelands,  Coleville and Yakama tribes are larger.  My mother worked on the Coleville reservation in the late 70's for a couple of years as a Registered Nurse, an admirable way to give back, something she embraced her whole life but was able to act upon once she became an empty nester.
