The Inn

Painted this on location under a shady tree on the lawn of The Inn at Rancho Santa Fe.  What a lovely inn it was.  I spoke to a lot of friendly people and quite a few dogs - a very dog friendly place.  There were a few sets of Adirondack chairs on the lawn where people would read, rest and sip champagne.  When I asked if it would be OK to set up on the lawn and paint, I was warmly welcomed and asked if they could get me some water.  I got the idea they were used to being the centerpiece to the village.
