Padam Padam

I keep seeing this pear - "which haunts me day and night".  While I was painting this I was listening to Edith Piaf's "Padam Padam", which my Mother used to play on a mono record player when we lived at 79 Christian Ave (which intersected with Quaker Path, but that's another blog post).  I remember the refrain and her singing to it, and now, entirely by coincidence one of my daughter's is a Piaf fan.
