Jammin'

Straight up Strawberry Jam, homemade (not in my home) and so delicious.  I tried to capture the density of the jam, the weight of the thing. I started the painting thinking that the composition would be more complex, some garlic, butter,  another bit of this or that.  But in the end the jam is the star, simply the jam, the jar and the spoon.
