Day Two - Blue, Yellow, Crimson
Second day of the workshop with artist, Kevin MacPherson. We painted at the Gold King Mine & Ghost Town in Jerome. The mine was established in the late 1800's and is now a tourist attraction of a different sort. Dozens of old cars and trucks from the 30's, 40's and 50's litter the 'Ghost Town'. Lots of great models to paint. I was told by the owner (who is from the 20's, 30's, 40's) that this is a 53 Ford. It was fun to paint this composition with a limited palette of cad yellow, alizaron crimson and ultramarine blue. The above is painted with color, below is the early block in using the gray scale.
