Lake Hodges

Winter at Lake Hodges.  I painted this from a study that I started at the lake but the rain came in so I had to pack up. I used to stick it out when I painted in oil but it's almost impossible with watercolor  because nothing dries and everything runs.  I'm more comfortable with a little more control that that.  ;) 

A few sketches from this week. The San Diego Urban sketchers went up to San Juan Capistrano and painted on Los Rios which is across the tracks.
