Hang Gliding over Scripps Pier

There is a hang gliding port just south of the Torrey Pines Golf Course in La Jolla.  As a matter of fact, the parking lot that belongs to the Glider Port serves as the parking lot for the annual Andy Williams/Buick/Farmers Invitational.  It is not an exaggeration to say it was a picture perfect day in San Diego yesterday, a beautiful day to paint in plein air.  I say that as the storms hit many of my friends' neighborhoods back east, and my heart goes out to them as they recover without electricity and air conditioning in this crazy heat.  I hope they get a break in the weather soon!
