Days 7 and 8 of Thirty Day Challenge

 

January 7.

I found a 'secret' spot to paint in La Jolla, just north of the cove where very few people bother to hike.  There are only 2 parking spaces on this residential street, and this early bird got one of them.  Painting beside the sea in a peaceful setting at the cove was a special treat. 

January 8.

Miramar Lake is just a five mile hike around the entire reservoir, and very nice hike on a cloudy day.  Docks and small fishing boats are scattered throughout.  Not sure what they are fishing for though.
