In the Desert, they can't remember your name

 

 A cul de sac in an old part of Palm Springs.  The residential architecture in the desert is just so appealing, with strong lines and native plants.  And nothing vertical, as if it's understood that nothing will compete with the surrounding mountains, except for the tall, lithe palms.
